"The Barn site is uneven in places, although there are accessible routes through the site. For events taking place in the main building, there are flat and level routes from the car park to the Main Barn, the downstairs seminar room, and the toilets. For any outdoor events, there is paved access to the outdoor toilet facilities but the rest of the outdoor space is grass.

Facilities:

There is one accessible toilet in the main building, and one as part of the outdoor facilities. There is a hearing loop for events in the Main Barn and in the Cartshed. Assistance dogs are welcome to all events. We are able to provide table service for refreshments, just speak to a member of the team as you arrive."

Brief description

"Winterbourne Medieval Barn, built in 1342, is a rare surviving example of a great medieval Barn built by a gentry family. Constructed using green timber methods and cutting edge technology for the time, it has been described as a magnificent example of the builders' craft. Come and look around this beautiful building, set in rural South Gloucestershire, just outside Bristol.

As a multi-purpose venue we host a range of activities for the local community including family activities, music and theatre performances, craft workshops, a monthly lecture series, and our flagship events the Medieval Fayre and Orchard Harvest Days.

The Barn makes a unique and beautiful setting for a magical wedding day and is available for hire all year round. The Barn and seminar rooms can also be hired for celebration events, film shoots, and meetings. Get in touch to find out more."
