DECEMBER 2025: "The Wroxall Court - Abbey Hotel, Restaurant and Estate is currently closed, following the termination of the lease and repossession of the estate by the owners in January 2025. The property is now on the market for lease.

About the Property

Wroxall Abbey Hotel and Estate is a magnificent Grade II listed country house set within 27 acres of landscaped parkland in the heart of Warwickshire. The historic estate has connections to William Shakespeare and was once the residence of Sir Christopher Wren.

Accommodation: The estate offered 72 bedrooms total, split between the main Mansion house and the adjacent Wroxall Court building. The Wroxall Court section has character bedrooms set around a cobbled courtyard.
Facilities: In the past, when operational, the hotel featured a range of facilities including two restaurants (Sonnets and Arches Bistro), several bars, an indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, and three outdoor tennis courts. It was a popular venue for weddings and conferences, with a large marquee for events of up to 650 guests.
Location: The estate is located near Warwick and Solihull, offering easy access to attractions such as Warwick Castle and Kenilworth Castle, as well as the M40 and M42 motorways and Birmingham Airport.

Operational Status

The hotel has had a turbulent history with multiple closures and changes in ownership/operators in recent years. The latest operating company, JGBM Hotel Limited, had its tenancy terminated due to financial constraints and other issues, leading to the sudden closure in January 2025. The website is currently "under construction".
