Directions

Leave the A1 at the Oakham A606 Junction and take the A606 towards Oakham. Remain on A606 following the signs for Empingham, Whitwell and Oakham. A little while after passing through Whitwell and the North Shore Car Park, go straight ahead at the roundabout onto B640 towards Oakham.

At the mini-roundabout turn right towards the Town Centre and brown pedestrian signage for the Castle.  Go straight over the next mini-roundabout remaining on the B640, carry on a short distance before turning right onto Church Street and there is a short stay car park is opposite the church.  The War Memorial is on the right hand side of the church, as you look at it from the car park, in the graveyard.
