Accessibility:

Limited accessibility - many areas of the venue have only step access, bumpy terrain and thin doorways. There is however an accessible toilet accessible from a small (1 inch) step. Disability parking spaces are available by the entrance on some grass.

There is an induction loop service located within the shop, but not in the venue.

Brief Description:

Aydon Castle originated as a manor house in the early 14th century, but was almost immediately fortified into a castle due to the Anglo-Scottish warfare. Later in the 17th century it was used as a farmhouse, being lived in until 1966.

Aydon Castle is just north from Corbridge, accessible off a minor road from the the A68 or the B6321 travelling northward.

There is a train station in Corbridge, about 4 miles away from the venue. A taxi or car may be advised as no bus services run between the station and venue.
