Brief Description:
Castletown was the island's ancient capital. It is home to many historical buildings including Rushen Castle and The Old House of Keys. It has narrow streets, fisherman's cottages, a fishing harbour and a pebbly beach.

Castletown is situated on the south coast. It is just south of the airport and about 10miles (16km) south of Douglas. OS SC 264 676
Transport:
The airport is a few miles north on the main A5. The Steam Railway runs through Castletown starting at Douglas and continuing west to Port Erin.
