Accessibility:
Free private car park below its northern side, (off Derby Road) and easy wheelchair access to lower ground facilities and a staircase to the Bell-Tower. There is a disability toilet at the far south-east corner of the building and there is an entrance to it from the outside which does not have a step. However, elsewhere in the cathedral there are several places where there is a small step from one part to another.
Brief Description:
Peel Cathedral is the National Cathedral of the island built between 1879 and 1884 but was only consecrated as a cathedral in 1980. It is rich in historical culture, and has notable stone carving and many stained-glass windows.
It's an Anglican Gothic Cathedral open to all faiths and offers a variety of creative art facilities and events throughout the year. For more details please see website referenced below.

To the east of the centre of Peel, with its car park accessed from the southern side of Derby Road. Derby Road is the A20 road going east out of Peel.
15.3km North west from New Castletown Rd, Douglas, Isle of Man
10.63 miles/17.1km from the centre of Douglas, via the A1 main road, then head north via Albany Road to Derby Road, which is the A20 road going east out of Peel, and turn west along it when the Cathedral car park can be accessed on its southern side, immediately adjacent to Peel police station.

The Cathedral is open every day from 9:00am - 6:00pm, however times may vary on bank holidays/Holy days.
Transport:
From Douglas - Bus No.4 and 6 goes from the Lord Street bus stops to Derby Road. It stops outside Peel's Town Hall. And Bus No.5 from Ramsey.
