The shopmobility centre is located within Chester Street car park where there are 10 or more designated disability spaces. Parking is charged. The nearest accessible toilet is located on the ground floor of Chester Street Car Park.

Brief Description:

The shopmobility centre in Douglas offers aids for people with a disability to get around the town. Facilities available include manual and powered wheelchairs and powered scooters. The equipment does not have to be booked in advance, however, there is a hire charge.

The shopmobility scheme is run by CIRCA (Centre for Information Resource Care and Assistance), a Manx registered charity which offers not only shopmobility assistance, but Information (with a downloadable database of sources of assistance) and a volunteering agency.

Shopmobility Isle of Man 2023 Donations suggested for hire:

"Manual Wheelchairs - £4.00 per day - £35.00 per month

Power Wheelchairs - £8.00 per day - £112.00.00 per month

Electric Scooters - £8.00 per day - £112.00 per month

3 & 4 Wheel Walkers - £1.50 per day - £35.00 per month

They also sell Radar Keys for £3.50
