Brief Description:

The Masham Community Office and Library was set up in 2003, in the former Police House. It is a community facility which offers a range of services to residents and visitors. Services provided include Tourist Information, Transport Advice, Art and Craft Exhibition Space and a range of local authority services. The library provides a range of books to borrow and also has free wifi available. The previous library in Masham was closed in 2012, so the Community Office stepped in and housed the library on their first floor. When building work took place here in 1988 and 1989 the remains of 58 skeletons from Anglo-Scandinavian Christian Burials were found. They were dated to the period between 679 and 1011 AD, and have now been reburied in Masham Churchyard.
