Brief Description:
Built in 1888 St Crux Church Hall is a small stone building which is all that remains of St Crux church which was the largest medieval churches in York. When St Crux church was considered an unsafe building it was demolished and some of the stonework was used to build the Church Hall. Some of the monuments from St Crux church were also placed inside the Church Hall including an early 17th Century tomb. It is now used by different charities as a fundraising tea room.
