Accessibility:
There is a limited amount of on-street parking near the theatre, alternatively the closest car park is Edward Street/Templar Street. There is level access into the theatre via the box office, with a lift to the foyer. There are lifts to most of the auditorium except for the Upper Balcony and there are spaces in the auditorium for wheelchair users. An infra-red system is in operation in the auditorium for the hearing impaired. Head sets are available from the Kiosk in the main foyer for a £5 refundable deposit. Please speak to the Box Office for information on the best seats for this facility. There are public toilets including wheelchair accessible toilets. Assistance dogs are welcome.
Brief Description:
The Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House was built in 1878. It is an interesting building both inside and out and is considered a milestone in Victorian theatre building. There are tours of the theatre available so that people can learn all about the history of the building. It hosts a wealth of plays and musicals.

From Harrogate via A61. Take James Street to Station Parade/A61. Follow A61 to Eastgate in Leeds for 15.3 miles. At City Centre Loop take the 2nd exit onto Eastgate. Continue onto The Headrow. Turn right onto New Briggate.
From Wakefield via M621. Take the M621 towards Leeds (Centre). At junction 4 take the A61 exit to Harrogate/Wetherby/York. Continue onto A61. Keep right to stay on A61. Keep left to continue on South Accommodation Road/A61. Use the right 2 lane to turn slightly left onto East Street/A61. Slight right to stay on East Street/A61. At City Centre Loop take the 1st exit onto Eastgate. Continue onto The Headrow. Turn right onto New Briggate.
