Accessibility

"Carers are admitted free of charge into Exbury Gardens on a one-to-one basis when accompanying a caree who pays the normal admission rate. Please note that proof of disability and/or registered carer status may be requested.

Bays for blue badge holders are available at the front of the main car park nearest to the Visitor Entrance.

Exbury provides a limited number of non-motorized wheelchairs free of charge. These are available on a first come first served basis from the Visitor Entrance.

Our buggy service is designed to enable visitors with limited mobility to access the main areas of interest within Exbury Gardens. The chauffeur-driven buggy tours cost £5.50 per person and follows a set route around the gardens.

Buggies operate as a timetabled service on a first-come, first-served basis and visitors should be advised that queues can be expected, particularly in May and June.

Exbury's railway has four carriages adapted to accommodate wheelchairs.

Groups requiring more than one accessible carriage to be fitted are asked to advise in advance so this can be arranged without disrupting the published timetable. 

Railway tickets can be purchased at £5.50 per person.

Experience the sights and sounds of a working narrow-gauge steam railway at Exbury Gardens! Our narrow-gauge railway, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, departs from replica Victorian station Exbury Central and travels through a tunnel, over a bridge, round the new Dragonfly Pond and through the Summer Lane Garden."

"Both Southern Rail and South Western Railway have routes that stop at stations close to Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway.

The closest train station to Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway is Brockenhurst, which is approximately 10 miles from Exbury. Visitors can either get a taxi from the station or take the New Forest Open Top Bus Tour which stops at Exbury 7 times per day during the summer months.

Visitors are also able to take the train to Southampton Central and then take the passenger ferry to Hythe, which is approximately 6 miles from Exbury. 

During the summer months New Forest Open Top Bus Tours circles the national park daily. The green route calls at Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway 7 times per day."

Dogs Welcome  https://www.exbury.co.uk/dog_friendly  Dogs are very welcome to visit Exbury Gardens, we simply ask they are kept on a short lead and leave nothing behind but paw prints. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the railway but must be kept on a lead.
