Brief Description:

The Ffestiniog Railway is the world’s oldest working narrow gauge railway, running 13 and a half miles from Porthmadog’s Harbour to the slate-quarring town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.

The Welsh Highland Railway is the longest heritage railway in the UK, it runs on a 25 mile stretch from Caernarfon to Porthmadog through the picturesque countryside of North Wales.

Directions:

29 miles S of Bangor via the A487 in to the centre of Porthmadog, the railway station is located on the E side of the harbour. OS SH 571 384.
