Accessibility:

There is on-street parking in some parts of the village. Some of the pavements/sidewalks are quite narrow, so may not be wheelchair accessible. There are no public toilets in Foxdale, however there is a public house on the Main Road.

 

Brief Description:

Foxdale is a small village in the centre of the Isle of Man. It is situated along the A3 between St John’s and Castletown and is close to the Stony Mountain Plantation. Foxdale Heritage Centre is at the former railway station and is open on the 1st Sunday of every month, from 2pm – 4pm.

Directions:

From St John’s via A1 (4.0km). Head east on A1 towards Station Road. Turn right onto Station Road. Turn right onto A3. Continue to follow A3 for 3 km until you reach Foxdale village.

 

From Douglas via A24 (12.6km). Take Allan St and Hillside Terrace to Peel Road. Take Cooil Road to A24. Continue on A24 for 12.1km, until you arrive at the junction with the A3 which is in Foxdale village.

There is a village pub and also a convenience store which also features a post office. Lily Bank Lodges Holiday Accommodation are situated in the village. There are hotels, bed-and-breakfast’s and campsites in neighbouring villages.
