Brief description

https://gainsboroughquakers.co.uk/

"We are a Quaker meeting that is local to Gainsborough and which gathers at Friends Meeting House, located in the town centre.

Gainsborough Meeting House is an old building where Quakers have been meeting since 1705. The market town of Gainsborough lies on the river Trent and has one of the most well preserved medieval buildings, Gainsborough Hall, which dates back to the 1400’s. The town also has one of the few crossing points on the River Trent, dating from Roman times.

Our meeting is small and always welcoming. We meet twice a month just now, on the first and third Sundays, at 10.30 for an hour, where we sit in stillness. There is tea and a chat afterwards."
