Local rugby club house in the centre of the High Street which has a small downstairs lounge that serves alcohol and plays sports games on a big TV. Also has a large upstairs hall that is bookable for private functions. Typically all Gilfach Goch rugby team events are held here.

Gilfach Goch is located on the edge of the Rhondda Cynon Taf and Bridgend County border. It is 3 miles outside of Tonyrefail via Gilfach Road and approximately 10 miles from Pontypridd via A4085 and A4233 or, approximately 19 miles from Cardiff via the M4 and A470.

Gilfach Goch is an ex-mining valley that has an abundance of outstanding natural beauty. There are multiple mountain walks that offer incredible views of the valley, along with flatter paths that follow the river and lead to the waterfalls. It has multiple playgrounds along with the Welfare Park where the local rugby team play. There is a community cafe and a local fish and chip shop, along with numerous public houses to enjoy a relaxing drink or two.
