The Infantry Memorial of Brussels commemorates the memory of the Belgian foot soldiers who fought in World Wars I and II. The inscription (translated from Latin) reads: ‘To the glory of the Belgian Infantry. Granite from Merbes-Sprimont. To the infantrymen who died for their country 1914 - 1918 1940 – 1945’
