Brief description

"Julius Gottlieb Gallery and Boathouse (part of the former Carmel Collage) is a Grade II listed building.  Built between 1969-1970s by architect *Sir Basil Spence in the style of post-modernism." 

"The gallery and boathouse were commissioned by Lieutenant Commander Eli. W. Gottlieb as a memorial to his father Julius Gottlieb."

"Julius Gottlieb was a cabinet maker, wood carver and a Patron of The Arts.

The Gallery & Boathouse, and Carmel College closed in 1997."
