Kelloe is on the B6291 and has pavements either side of the road. The heritage trail starts just outside the village, well signposted, and can be upwards of one mile, depending on the route taken which is tarred and wheelchair accessible to Quarrington Hill and in other directions.
Brief description
Kelloe is a former pit village where there was a tragic mining accident in the nineteenth century with many lives lost and there are memorials to these miners. St Helen's Church is just outside the village and is an old Saxon church, currently undergoing roof repairs.

From Junction 66 North on the A1M take the exit for Coxhoe. At Coxhoe follow the B6291 to Quarrington Hill but take the first roundabout just outside Coxhoe following the road east towarads Kelloe.
