Accessibility:

There are disability parking spaces available within the grounds of the church close to the side entrance which is an extension of the original building. There is an even, tarmacked area around the church with handrails, benches and pathways available within the grounds to aid mobility. There is a side entrance with a pull-door that is suitable for disability access. In contrast, there are 4 stone steps up to the main church entrance at the front of the building, however handrails are available.

Once inside, there are disability toilet facilities available, which are shared with nappy-changing facilities. Handrails are available along a slopped corridor within the building. Within the original church building the floors are a mixture of tiled, marble and wood and are slightly uneven in places. There are two steps up to the altar area.

Hymn Books & books of service also offer larger texts for impaired vision.   


Brief Description:
Situated approximately 1.5 miles North West of Douglas, this parish church of the Braddan parish was originally built in 1876, to replace the Old Church nearby. It boasts impressive stained glass windows throughout the original building. The church now has an extension to the side and rear which offer disability access.
There are a number of services that take place throughout the week, typically on a Wednesday and Sunday. There are also a number of community classes that take place throughout the week.

Directions:
Situated approximately 1.5 mile north of the centre of Douglas, follow Peel Road (A1) out of Douglas, take the first exit over the first roundabout, cross the bridge and then take the second exit of the next roundabout following along Peel Road to Braddan. Once in Braddan, take the first exit over the roundabout, cross the bridge then take the second exit on the next roundabout. Kirk Braddan Church can then be seen on the left.
