Brief Description:

Steeped in history, Old Kirk Braddon Church is situated on a site thought to date back to the Dark Ages. Available to view on sight are a number of original Viking and Celtic stone-carved crosses, slabs and inscriptions that are believed to date back as far as the 9th century. One of the original Viking crosses was incorporated in to the window when the church underwent major alterations in 1774, this Viking cross has since been recognised as a fragment of Romaneque carving. This church is of major historical interest, information of which can be found within the church.

The church ceased to be used as a Parish church in 1876, however is still used occasionally for services.

Church memorabilia is available to purchase on site.
