Brief Description:

The town of Laugharne is more commonly known as being the home of the poet Dylan Thomas. It was also once a busy port and is home to the 12th century Laugharne castle and Dylan Thomas’ boathouse – his home with his wife and children.

Laugharne is in the south of Carmarthenshire in west Wales on the estuary of the River Tâf. Take the A40 from Carmarthen to St Clears, then turn onto the A4066 to Laugharne.
