"Lea Hill and Piper Sike are part of the Birdoswald Roman Trail. This route takes you along some of the most striking sections of Hadrian's Wall.

Birdoswold Roman Fort is just a five minute drive from Lea Hill and Piper Sike turrets and is a great stopping point along the trail. Discover the extensive remains of the Roman Fort and visit the exhibition. The tearoom also serves delicious home-made scones for summer afternoons or warming soup for wintery days. Why not base you and your group at Birdoswald Farmhouse, our accommodation for groups on Hadrian's Wall."
