Accessibility:

Library:

The Library has good accessibility to all public areas.  Gentle ramp gives access from public pavement into the library.  Their is a lift that gives access to first floor of the library.  Alternatively access to first floor is via 13 steps (including winders), a 180 degree landing and a further 7 steps.  Children's library is on the first floor.

Gardens:

There is level access from Broadway West public pavement into the Gardens (alongside children's play area).  There is also level access from Church Hill on the east side and immediately at top of steps to Church Hill but this is a narrower entrance.  There is a second entrance from Church Hill at its junction with Broadway West but this is via a single brick step.  All these entrances give access to the upper level of the gardens.

Access to the lower level of the gardens from the upper level is via a total of 20 steps making it difficult for those who find steps challenging.  Access to the lower garden area is also available from Leigh Park Road on the south side but this is also via a total of 16 steps.
