Accessibility:

The church is accessible by road with disability parking bays in the High Street car park next to the Assembly Rooms. There is a disability toilet in the Leisure Centre car park and on the wall of the public toilets on High Street is a public access defibrillator AED. The front entrance on Church Street has steps along the path to the main door. Disability access to the church is on Potter Street through a gated entrance along flat pathways. Near to the Potter Street entrance is a disability roadside parking bay. In September 2017 planning permission was obtained to build a new annexe to the church building to give catering facilities and wheeled access from the Market Place.

Directions:

Melbourne Methodist Church in Melbourne is 6.89 miles/11.09 kilometres south of Derby and 6.29 miles/10.13 kilometres east of Willington. From junction 3 on the A50 ‘Derby Southern Bypass’ take the exit south onto Swarkestone Road. At the junction in Swarkestone turn south along the A514 ‘Swarkestone bridge’. At the fork junction continue south along the B587. At the next junction turn east on the B587 and immediately south into Derby Road towards Melbourne. In the centre of Melbourne turn south east into Church Street and the church will become visible on the north side of the road.
