Accessibility:
There is a car park is at the south-west corner of the site, located at SN 53951 19039, and it is signposted from the B4300 at Llanarthney opposite the Emlyn Arms public house. The car park is flat and laid to compacted stones.
Access to the tower is across a steep field and is not really suitable for wheelchairs.
Brief Description:
Grade II listed Paxton's Tower is a three-storey tower flooy Neo-Gothic style situated on a hill in the middle of the Towy Valley that can be seen for miles in all directions. It was built by Sir William Paxton between 1805 and 1808 and erected in honour of Lord Nelson. It was set in grassland and approached by a carriage drive.
You can visit the tower, walk around and admire its architecture and look at the views that the tower offers. However, you can’t climb the tower.

Directions:
Paxton’s Tower is located near to Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire. From the B4300 from Llanarthney take the road on the right signposted towards Paxton’s Tower. Continue to follow the road signs for the tower, taking two left turns along the way. The car park is about 2 miles from the B4300 turn off.
