Accessibility:

Cars and minibuses can access the lane to the chapel, however coaches can not access this lane. There is a gravel surface to the chapel and two stone steps up into the building. There is a carpet/rug and flagstone flooring within. Benches and chairs are laid out to sit on inside.

Brief Description:

This grade II listed building was first listed in 1953. It was built in 1800 as a Calvinistic Methodist chapel, with the adjoining cottage becoming the home of Rev'd John Hughes. In 1865 the building fell into disuse and and disrepair, but was restored in 1983 and reopened as the Centre for Christian Unity and Renewal in 1995. The original pulpit still remains.

Directions:

Situated 4.4 miles W of Meifod, follow the A495 for approximately 2.9 miles and turn right onto Unnamed road towards Pontrobert. Turn right at the end of the road where St John the Evangelist Church is, continue for 0.1 of a mile and turn left up a dead end signposted lane to the chapel. OS SJ 109129
