The Three Lochs Forest Drive is excellent for those not used to walking very far.

Brief description

The Queen Elizabeth National Forest Park stretches across a large expanse of stunning countryside and encompasses the natural beauty of lochs, mountains and forest. The village of Aberfoyle is at the heart of the Park where everyone can enjoy the beautiful scenery that the Park has to offer.

By road/car:

From Stirling:  follow the A84 / A873 / A81 / A821 to Aberfoyle. The Lodge Visitor Centre is 1mile north and signposted.

From Callander: follow the A84 / A821 (southwest) towards Aberfoyle.

Car park is large with spaces for Blue badge holders. There are parking fees.

Opening Times

The visitor centre and café at The Lodge are open seven days a week, 10am - 3pm (food served until 2:30pm). Admission is free

Transport

Rail links to Glasgow, then bus X10A to Aberfoyle from Glasgow and Stirling. Walk 1 mile north from Aberfoyle.

Amenities

The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre has a cafe, information point and accessible toilets. There are lots of picnic areas and playgrounds.

'Go Ape' is also situated at the park.

The nearby village of Aberfoyle has a number of cafes, Inns and local shops
