Accessibility:

There is a large car park at the visitor centre, with eight Blue Badge spaces; please note that the car park is locked at 5pm. The visitor centre and shop are accessible via a ramp, however, there are heavy, manual doors through the entrance. There are disability toilets located in the coffee shop. The picnic area has tables with a space for a wheelchair and the play area is fully accessible, apart from the sandpit. Due to the possibility of scaring the birds at the reserve, only Registered Assistance Dogs are allowed on site.

Brief Description:

The Conwy RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) nature reserve is situated on the banks of the Conwy estuary in north Wales. You can explore the wetlands, search for frogs and dragonflies in the ponds in summer and watch the waterbirds on the estuary in winter. There are wheelchair-friendly trails with viewpoints and hides and information boards explaining what you may see.

Amenities:

There are hot and cold drinks, lunches, cakes and snacks available from the Waterside Coffee Shop, which stocks a range of Fairtrade and local produce. There is also a shop that sells binoculars and telescopes, books, bird food and feeders, nest boxes, outdoor clothing as well as gifts.
