Brief Description:

For over 200 years St Nicholas church was a ruin. In 1816 a restoration project was launched and the church was fully restored by 1859. In 1987 the church became a grade II listed building, but after maintenance costs became too much the church was closed in 2014.

Directions:

Situated 4.3 miles NE of Patrington. Head E on Northside/A1033 and continue following this road to Withernsea, which then becomes Queen Street. Continue following Queen Street and turn left onto Park Avenue. The church is situated behind Pavilion Leisure Centre, and the houses along Park Avenue.  OS TA342276.
