Brief description

St. Bartholomew's Church, together with Benthall Hall and Gardens in whose grounds St. Bartholomew's is situated, are owned by the National Trust.  St. Bartholomew's was sold to the National Trust in 2015, after the church was decommissioned by the Church of England.

St. Bartholomew's was built in 1667 after the English Civil War on the site of the previous, medieval Church building. It is a rare example of a church built during the Restoration period and is a Grade II* listed building.. A considerable amount of restoration work has been  carried out to St. Bartholomew's, including to it's roof, bell tower, exterior paintwork, interior woodwork and plasterwork.

Admission Charges are applicable to Benthall Hall and Gardens in which St. Bartholomew's Church is located - for further details and current visitor charges see: Benthall Hall | National Trust.  Free entry for members of the National Trust and children under 5 years old.
