Accessibility

There is limited parking available on the road near to the church but no blue badge parking bays. Access to the church entrance from the road is through a gate and along a flat gravel path. Inside the floor is flat across large stone slabs with access to the congregational area. An Induction Hearing Loop System is available inside the church. When open the church has accessible toilets. The church has also recently installed new lighting. There is a public RADAR key access toilet at the Whittington Medical Centre on High Street (S41 9JZ). 

Brief description

A Derbyshire village church in Whittington dating to the Norman era, rebuilt in the mid 19th century and restored later in the century after being destroyed by fire.  If someone is thinking of visiting then they should ring the current Rector on 01246 453251 or email revjomorris@gmail.com as there are frequent funerals etc.

Directions

St Bartholomew Church in Whittington is 7.07 miles/11.38 kilometres south of Sheffield. From Sheffield follow the A61 south to Whittington Moor roundabout. At the roundabout turn north onto Station Road crossing the River Whitting onto Whittington Hill. On Whittington High Street turn north along Church Street North and at the junction take the turn along Church Lane North to the church entrance gates.
