There are two entrances to the churchyard – one from the south up a flight of six stone steps to a wrought iron gate, and the other from the west which is flat, paved and leads from a roadside parking area.
The paths around the churchyard are paved and reasonably flat. The entrance through the tower has a very small step (less than 0.5 inches) over the threshold and the entrance through the porch into the nave has a three-inch step down. The interior is flat along the nave with small steps up into the choir and chancel areas.
The nearest public toilets are in Monmouth (SO504125).
Brief Description:
Grade II* listed St Dingat’s Church sits on the banks of the River Trothy in Dingestow. It dates from around the 14th century but was almost completely rebuilt in 1846 and renovated again in 1887–1888. It is constructed of sandstone and puddingstone rubble and has a nave, a north transept, chancel and tower.

Directions:
From the A40 at Monmouth drive south west and take the turn off before the tunnel onto the B4233. At the T-junction turn left onto B4293 for 300 metres - which then turns into Mitchel Troy village. Continue along here for two miles through Mitchel Troy and after the village take the left fork onto Dingestow for 1.5 miles, then right where it is signposted to Dingestow. After the telephone box take the second right turn onto a small lane and the church will be on your right.
