Accessibility:

There is a small gravel car park almost directly opposite the church on Ffordd Tyrpeg Uchaf. The entrance to the churchyard is through a wrought iron gate and up three steps to a level, tarmac path. The church itself is level inside and laid to slate flag stones.

Brief Description:

The current Grade II* listed church has 16th century origins but it was remodelled in 1838-1839. Some of the original features remain, including windows and wood panelling, and there is a medieval font.

A well dedicated to Doged, Ffynnon Ddoged, is around 50 metres north of the church, which was once thought to cure eye complaints.

The pews inside the church are placed in squares, which is a common feature of chapels but is rare in Anglican churches. This may be the result of the remodelling by Revs Thomas Davies and David Owen who were trying to stop Welsh people moving to Nonconformist chapels.
