Brief description
St. George's Church is a Grade II* listed building dating from the Norman-12th Century, with the Transept dating from this period. Medieval wall paintings date from the c.1280
The East Window dates from the 13th Century and the stained-glass window depicting St. George dates from 1430.
William Morris (1834-1896) socialist, artist, and textile designer associated with the Arts and Crafts Movement is buried in the church graveyard.
