Accessibility:

There is no actual parking for the church, but the road outside is wide enough that a car can park on the roadside. The gateway to the churchyard is flat and laid to gravel. The porch to the church doorway is laid to slate, but has a slight lip to enter the interior of the church, which is stone-floored with a carpet runner down the centre.

Brief Description:

The church of St John’s is a 12th century, grade I listed church which is most famous for its wooden tower. It also houses medieval stone benches as well as the fossil of an ichthyosaurus displayed upon the floor of its porch. The circular shape of the churchyard gateway is a reflection of the Norman arches within the church.
