Brief description
"Church of St Lawrence" is a Grade II listed building, whose origins date from 597 AD. The interior has medieval features dating from the 13th -14th Century.
There is a fine example of a triple-tiered octagonal wooden pulpit and hood. The original box pews and carved stone trefoil piscina can also be seen. The carved stone octagonal font dates to the Norman period.
During the 18th century, the church was subject to restoration. In 1992 the church was brought out of redundancy and is now functioning with regular services.
