Brief description
"St. Leonard's Church, located in the tranquil village of Berwick St Leonard, Wiltshire, is a Grade II* listed building dating back to the 12th century. Constructed from flint and limestone with a distinctive fish-scale tiled roof, the church features a three-bay nave and a chancel added in the early 14th century. A two-stage south tower, added in the 14th century, houses two bells from 1725 and 1766. Inside, visitors can find a 12th-century cylindrical stone font and a sculptured relief of the Lamb of God over the south doorway. The church underwent restoration in 1860, funded by Alfred Morrison of the Fonthill Estate, preserving its historic character."
