A lychgate leads from the street to the path leading to the church.

Please note, at the entrance to the lychgate there are uneven and worn cobbled stones.

A path leads from the church gates to the porch. Please note: pine trees line the path on either side and can be shady in places.

There is a step leading from the porch to the Nave.

Ramped access.

Steps lead from the Nave to the Chancel, Communion Rail and Altar.

The grounds and graves are accessed by uneven ground.

Brief description

"St. Mary the Virgin Church" is a Grade I listed building dating from the early 12th-15th centuries. Later restored in the 19th century. 

The south porch entrance is Tudor in style and dates from the 15th century. The small windows in the entrance contain medieval glass (12th century).

The Chancel and West Window dates from the 15th-16th Century, whilst the East Window dates from the mid-Victorian period (1851)

The South Arcade has 13th-century columns with fleur-de-lys carvings and grotesque bosses.

The carved oak lectern and screen date from 1910-1917 and is Arts & Crafts in style Arts and Crafts movement - Wikipedia (1880-1920)
