Accessibility:
Car parking is available just outside the main entrance to the church. Surface outside of the church is laid to gravel. There are two small steps leading into the porch way of the church, and another step through the main doorway. Please be aware that the main door is heavy. Inside is mainly laid to carpet and wooden flooring. There are two small steps leading to alter area, and two more further along. Hearing induction loop in place.
Brief Description:
St Peter's church is a Grade II* listed building which was completed in 1874. Ten tubular bells are housed in the tower of the church and are believed to be the only set of working bells in the Carlisle Diocese presently.

Directions:
Situated 2.2 miles N of Newbury Bridge. Heading across the river from the A590 towards The Colonade. Turning left onto The Colonade. Follow this road all the way past Stoot Park Bobbin Mill until you reach Finsthwaite, where the church will be situated to the left as you enter the village. OS SD 368878.
