There is an on-site carpark with limited spaces behind the church and there are also pay-and-display parking bays opposite the church. There is ramped access into the church and it is wheelchair accessible within. There is a lift inside as well as toilets including wheelchair accessible facilities.

Brief Description:

A church has stood on this site since the 18th Century, the original one was built in 1761 and as the congregation numbers grew too large it was replaced with a larger venue in 1807, but this one was destroyed by fire in 1901. The people of the town spent two years raising funds to build a new one and the Grade II Listed Methodist Church stands there today. It is a neo-Gothic building which boasts a 140ft spire. It now houses a small chapel and the Talbot Lane Centre which is a community resource centre. It is now at risk of closure due to the dwindling congregation and also being in need of repairs, but services are still being held in 2018..

From Barnsley via M1. Take the M1 to junction 34, then take the A6109 exit to Rotherham/Meadowhall/Sheffield. At Meadowhall Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Meadow Bank Road/A6109 and continue for 1.3 miles.  Turn right onto Psalters Lane. Turn left onto Ferham Road. Continue onto Coronation Bridge. Continue onto Masbrough Street. Continue onto Main Street. Turn right onto Westgate. Turn left onto Wilfred Street. Turn left onto Moorgate Street.

From Sheffield via Sheffield Parkway. Take Gibraltar Street/A61 and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Derek Dooley Way/A61. Use the left two lanes to turn left onto Sheffield Parkway and continue to follow for 5.2 miles. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Rotherway/A630. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto West Bawtry Road/A630/A631. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Centenary Way/A630. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Sheffield Road/A6021. Continue straight onto Sheffield Road. Continue straight onto Westgate. Turn right onto Wilfred Street. Turn left onto Moorgate Street.
