Accessibility:

The museum is approached via a steep slope with a well-maintained path, however, once you get inside a lift is available for all floors.  Disability toilets are available but there are three steps to negotiate to get to them. The WWI exhibition is also on that level. It is advised to contact the museum in advance so any special arrangements can be made.

A wheelchair is available for free loan. Assistance dogs are welcome.

There are a limited number of parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in the harbour area, with one by the path to the Museum..

Brief Description:

Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, the oldest independent museum in Wales, was established in 1878 and housed in what was formally the National School Building. The Museum has a collection of local geology, biology, archaeological and maritime artefacts as well as images and crafts by local and national artists.

Reusable ticket scheme: All Tickets can be used for one year after purchase so as many return visits within that time can be made at no additional charge.

Carers have free admission.

All children have free admission (when accompanied by an adult)

There is a Gift Aid scheme in operation "whereby we may claim a refund from the Government for tickets sold to tax payers".  There is no additional charge associated with the Gift Aid Scheme at the museum.

Directions:

To park near to the museum in the Harbour area enter the walled area of the town via White Lion Street. Follow this onto High Street and down through the town to St Julian Street and park in the harbour area where there are some disability spaces. Other car parks are signposted from within the town.
