A number of the pews are quite long and narrow in width with restricted legroom and for mobility.

To the rear of the pews in the South Transept are a number of wall-mounted, hinged display cases of the history of St Nicholas chapel and of the Cholmondley family. Take care as these display cases protrude from the wall at head height.

The Cholmondley Family pew is on a raised platform at the west end of the chapel which has its own private entrance/exit door to rear. It has staircase access (7 steps) only from the Nave. The staircase has a balustrade handrail on each side.
