Brief description
The Shard is a 72-storey skyscraper in Southwark, London. It is the tallest building in the UK, and the seventh tallest building in Europe. The building is home to The View from the Shard, a viewing gallery which is almost twice the height of any other viewing gallery in the country and offers 360-degree views for up to 40 miles.

From the City of London, head west on Cannon Street towards College Hill. Slight left onto Queen Victoria Street. Turn left onto the A201. Turn left onto Southwark Street/A3200. Turn left onto Bedale Street. Bedale Street turns slightly right and becomes Cathedral Street. Slight right onto Montague Close. Continue onto Tooley Street. Turn right onto Shand Street. Turn right onto Crucifix Lane/A200. Slight right onto St Thomas Street/A200. Continue to follow St Thomas St. The building will be on the right. OS TQ 329801
