Accessibility:

Tywyn town centre is situated on flat land, therefore it is easily accessible for walkers or cyclists.

There are steps down onto the sandy beach from the promenade. There are dog-friendly areas on the beach. Toilets at the Leisure Centre on the High Street (including disabled) and near St. Cadfan's Church (including disabled)

Brief description:

Built on reclaimed estuary land and salt marshes, Tywyn is surrounded by imposing hills and mountains.

Tywyn is famous for the Cadfan Stone, an 8th Century cross inscribed with the earliest known example of written Welsh, now housed in St. Cadfan's Church and the Talyllyn narrow gauge steam Railway built in 1865.
