United States Military Memorial, Wendling, Breckland, Norfolk
Details
Accessibility
A loose-surface gravel driveway leads to a double-swing gate, which is wide enough to allow access to a pathway leading up to the monument. There is a slight lip where the gravel driveway meets the path. The path is approximately 53' (16m) in length. It is composed of stone paving slabs, and is mainly level. However, there are some gaps between the slabs.
The monument is surrounded by a well-maintained lawn. It is situated on a plinth, which is raised and has two levels. Situated slightly behind the monument are two flagpoles.
Inscriptions carved onto the base, plinth and metal plaque are showing some signs of wear and are quite hard to read in places.
