On-street parking is possible along the quieter B4301 and in the housing estate off the main A484. Both roads are 30mph limit but particular care should be taken on the A484. There is a pavement along the length of the A484 section of the village but no pavement along the B4301.
There is parking for the heritage railway, village hall and public house.
The village is split into two halves with the top part along the A484 being largely level. There is a reasonable height change to get to the bottom half so the B4301 does have a hill where it meets with the A484. After the bottom of this hill (across the railway lines) the bottom half of the village is flat.
Brief Description:
Bronwydd Arms is a village around three miles north of Carmarthen in the Gwili Valley which is overlooked by hills on either Valley side, and so provides a good mixed habitat for bird and animal life.
The village is host to the main station on the Gwili Railway Welsh heritage railway line. There is also a village hall and the Cwmgwili Grade II* listed 17th century mansion.
The village takes its name from the public house (Bronwydd Arms Inn) on the main road junction into the village but this was demolished in March 1981. There is a small slate plaque marking this spot at the junction of the A484 and B4301.
A new pub was opened at the other end of the village on the B4301 in 1980 called Hollybrook, named after the smalholding on which the pub stands.

From the Glangwili Hospital roundabout in Carmarthen take the Bronwydd Rd / A484 north for around 1.5 miles. The top part of the village continues on the A484 while the bottom half of the village, with the heritage railway and public house, is to the right, down the hill on the B4301.
