Accessibility:

There is a car park at the station. Being a historic narrow gauge railway somewhat restricts on train facilities, however most of our trains have a vehicle that has been adapted to carry wheelchairs. Ramps are provided at some stations. There are no toilets on the carriages but there are at most stations.

Brief Description:

The railway opened in 1903 to link the market town of Welshpool to the rural community of Llanfair Caereinion. This 2 foot 6 inch narrow gauge steam railway now provides a tourist service for all the family and a welcome change from the rush of everyday life.

The railway is approx. 9 miles to the West of Welshpool on a minor road, via of the A458. OS SJ 127091.
