Accessibility:

There are two blue badge parking spaces 30 metres from the Visitor Centre and the surface is compacted stone. Access is up a moderate slope with a hand-rail on one side and 4 steps to the Visitor Centre. A step into the Visitor Centre which has a tiled carpet surface. A variety of routes available, most are rugged and can be seasonally flooded. There are toilets on site, but the flooring is quarry tiling.

Opening Hours:

The reserve is open from dawn to dusk. The visitor centre is open daily 9 am-5 pm from April to October and 10 am-4 pm from November to March.

Admission Prices: Free for RSPB members. For non-members £5 adult, £2.50 child, £10 per family.

Directions:

The reserve is situated between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth. Turn off the A487 in the village of Eglwys-fach and proceed for one mile to the car park. OS SN 682 961

Hot beverages and light refreshments available in the Visitor Centre. Hot food available from pubs nearby and Machynlleth has cafés, pubs and shops, 5 miles from the reserve. There is a picnic area next to the car-park, 40m from the Visitor Centre. Four picnic benches with benches with spaces for wheelchair users at each end of each table. Compacted earth surface.
