Brief Description:
Aberconwy House is a Grade I listed medieval merchant's house from the 14th or 15th centuries. There were a number of similar houses/warehouses in the town that were constructed by English merchants trading on the Welsh Marches, but very few still survive.
The house has also served as a temperance hotel in the 19th and 20th centuries, but was later left to the National Trust in 1934 and restored in the 1970s.
The building is constructed over two upper-floors with a cellar beneath, with the top floor projecting out slightly.
