Babbacombe is a largely flat area with good access to the town’s shops and coastal streets. Babbacombe’s car parks are nearest to Fore Street. Hampton Avenue car park has two disability parking spaces. There is some blue badge parking on Babbacombe streets. There is a lack of wheelchair-accessible toilets in Babbacombe.

Brief Description:

Established by the Victorians and part of the so called English Riviera, Babbacombe remains a popular tourist attraction within the district of Torquay. Babbacombe’s Victorian past is celebrated by an independent attraction at Bygones on Fore Street, featuring Victorian memorabilia, an authentic Victorian indoor street and a Victorian steam engine. Babbacombe’s other main attractions list the Babbacombe Theatre, the Babbacombe Cliff Railway, Babbacombe Model Village and Babbacombe’s picturesque, seaside location.

Directions:

Approaching Torquay from both the north and south along the A380, follow the signs for the A3022 Riviera Way. After joining the Riviera Way, travel east across the North West side of Torquay. At the crossroads turn and travel east along the B3199. Continue straight over the first round-a-bout and take the exits travelling north on the double round-a-bout towards the A379. At the junction of the B3199, turn south onto the A379. Continue along the west side of Torquay golf course and follow the A379 onto Babbacombe Road.
